North American Cellular Network.  An interconnection of regional mobile telecommunications networks that allow mobile customers to travel anywhere within that network and still have their mobile station (telephone) behave and respond as if they were in their home market.
North American Digital Cellular.  Standard of mobile system based on IS-54/IS-136 standards.  Mobile frequency range in the 800 MHz band.  TDMA and FMD access methods.  FDD duplex method, 832 channels (3 users per channel).  IS-95 NADC uses CDMA access method having 798 users per channel.
Nordic Mobile Telephone.  Standard of mobile system.  NMT-450 operates in the 450 MHz frequency range and NMT-950 operates in the 950 MHz frequency range.  Uses FDMA multiple access method and FDD duplex method.
A type of Total Access Communication System (TACS).  Standard of mobile system using analog technology.  Operates in the 900 MHz frequency range, uses FDMA multiple access method.
